Lace I: an introduction to lace knitting
Lace knitting is easier than you think! Learn how to create elegant, open stitches by making holes in your knitting…on purpose! This introduction to lace knitting covers the most common stitches used, choosing the right yarn and needles for lace projects, and tips on avoiding and fixing mistakes and finishing. Knit samples swatches of several lace patterns which you can knit into a beautiful scarf or shawl, alone or in combination.
Prerequisites: Participants should be proficient knitters, able to cast on, knit and purl and work basic increases and decreases.
Duration: 3 hours
When: Sunday, May 30th, 11am - 2pm
